Small Brand, Big Impact
The journey began in 2002 with Pawel opening a pop-up clothing store in Barcelona. Fresh out of Brighton University, Pawel's little sister Aleks was recruited over to Spain to co-manage the store. Inspired by their love of travel, Pawel and Aleks designed and produced clothing for the store on the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. These hand-finished styles were a big hit with customers, and so, in 2006 Sugarhill Brighton was created, with Brighton, UK as it's new design base.
Our business is still family-owned and has grown to be a 11 people strong team of talented and creative people (and one spoilt dog!). As well as our online store, we are lucky to be stocked by some incredible independent boutiques around the world as by big brand partners, including Wolf & Badger and Next who have all helped us get to where we are today.
Our colourful clothing is created with a playful, purposeful Brighton spirit. Our clothes are fun, flattering and feel good, with 2% of every sale donated to social and environmental causes, and a tree planted for each order.
Limited Run Collections & Hand-drawn Prints
Our designer Olivia creates our prints starting in pencil, paint and brush before scanning, rendering digitally and creating the final print. The paint stage allows for a more playful finished design, and a unique Sugarhill print.

Responsible Fashion & Plastic-free Packaging
In keeping with our sustainable fabrics, our orders ship in plastic-free packaging made of paper from sustainable sources, re-sealable, 100% compostable and 100% recyclable. We also use 'home compostable' plastic-free garment bags.
We support Rainforest Trust
As members of the Rainforest Trust Conservation Circle, we support their highly-effective work, protecting the world’s threatened rainforests and other tropical ecosystems. With your support our donations have protected over 277 square kilometers of rainforest.
We support Ecologi - Responsible Tree Planting
Together we are stronger, that’s why we believe in collective action. We are a proud partner to Ecologi, their community of over 36,000 individuals, families and businesses are funding a huge range of leading climate solutions, to one day be responsible for halving the world’s emissions by 2040. We automatically fund the planting of one tree for each order made online.
